Our Story

Developing High Quality Genetics in Angus & Wagyu

DJI_20250929125433_0796_D-3.jpg

Our team has raised registered and commercial cattle in central Texas for 25+ years. In that time, we have experienced the hardships and rewards that characterize this profession, and have seen a tremendous shift in the industry. In response to the growing demand for premium cattle, we began to focus on Wagyu genetics.

We believe Wagyu is a tool to highlight or complement any ranching operation. Running R Cattle seeks to provide ranchers a source to seamlessly shop and compare genetics in a non-pressured environment.

Jennifer & Doak Dunkin

Owners

After watching the growing potential within the Wagyu cattle industry, Jennifer & Doak Dunkin began working towards the Prime Dream. Converting a background operation outside Cameron, TX to a Wagyu ranch was just a small step in a much larger goal to commercialize American Wagyu.
